Elsayed Aboulmagd is a professor of Microbiology and Immunology, College of Pharmacy, Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, Alamein Branch (September 2021 – Present). He graduated from Faculty of Pharmacy, Alexandria University in June 1989 and obtained his Master degree in the field of Pharmaceutical Microbiology in March 1995. He obtained his PhD in the field of Molecular Microbiology in February 2002 from Institute of Molecular Microbiology and Biotechnology - Westfälische Wilhelms University - Münster – Germany. He worked as a staff member and Coordinator of Microbiology and Immunology Division, Department of Biomedical Sciences, College of Medicine, King Faisal University, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (August 2007 – July 2014). He is assigned as a Coordinator of the Bachelor of Pharmacy and Clinical Pharmacy Programs, Faculty of Pharmacy, Alexandria University, Egypt (2015 – 2021). He is also assigned as a Microbiology Consultant in “Arab Company for Pharmaceuticals and Medicinal Plants” (2004 – 2005) and in “Borg Pharmaceutical Industries” (June 2016 – August 2021). He has publications in the field of Pharmaceutical, Medical and applied Microbiology. Currently, his research is focusing on phenotypic and molecular characterization of microbial resistance in multidrug resistant pathogens.
